Our first IRC representative team for some years performed creditably at Benalla against some really tough competition. Many thanks to Regional Council member, Glenn Schuback, for his magnificent effort getting the team together. Whilst a full team could not make the journey, a special effort will be made to do so for the 2011 event. |

Further
proof of Junior Program Success
Congratulations
to Bairnsdale
Junior Jackson
Varney who has gained
direct entry into the 14/U National Championships
at Gosford NSW Jan 10-15, 2008 (top 52 in Australia)
- yet another plus for the successful Tennis Victoria
supported programs at Bairnsdale TC and the tough
Gippsland Sports Academy. A titleholder at the recent
national points Classic Clay Junior Open at his home
club, this young player has begun to channel his
formerly boisterous nature into concentrated on court
displays giving himself a real shot at future achievement
at higher levels of the game. Good luck Jackson. |
